A partial android with a taboo past
Era is an odd but friendly robot who runs a tech repair business in metro-dade. First arrived there 5 years ago after an indeterminate amount of time roaming the irradiated wastelands that surround it. Era has no memory of how they came to be, having woken up in the ruins of an underground facility and finding her way out in the aftermath of the third world war. She was not easily accepted by most of the remaining people alive. They saw her as a reminder of the science that caused so much destruction and shunned her. Despite these bad experiences Era believes she is human like any other and fails to see why so many shun her, always doing her best to be friendly. What she doesn’t know is that she once was a human, before the war. A female neuroscientist named Emily Baker who successfully implanted her consciousness into a robotic vessel, in hopes of surviving the cancer she’d been diagnosed with. The experiment was a success but the memories in her brain were locked away and only the most basic personality traits carried over. Era has made a life of her own without the memories of her past, learning magic from the elves and teaching herself to tinker with technology through many years of trial and error.
